Elements of Dance
Who Am I:
I am a 27 year old male from Ontario, Canada. I studied to become an IT administrator and graduated Seneca College at York University in Toronto, Ontario. I Obtained my advanced diploma in Computer Systems Technlogoy (specializing in network security). I enjoy building computers/network and love to compose EDM (electronic dance music).
Although I am an aspiring amateur dj/producer, I still love to produce for potential internet fame. My ’ musical influences include: Rob Mayth, 89ers, 2 Small Dj’s, Baracuda, Cascada, Basslovers United, Alex Megane, Banana Inc, Basshunter, Boosterz Inc, Clubnature, Clubwringer, Dancefloor Driverz, Deep Spirit, Floorfilla, Groove Coverage, Kim Sozzi, Master Blaster, Lunaspace, Pulsedriver, Rave Allstars, Rocco & Bass-T, Royal Gigolos, Sven-R-G and many more, the list goes on.
I listen to Rob Mayth on my way to work each and every morning to get myself pumped up for the day. Feeling inspirational, I usually come up with some sort of melody or idea of a remix/original track but tend to forget it by the time I get home to jot the ideas down.
I have a wonderful girlfriend whom I have been with for 5 years.
FL Studio:
I got started with FL Studio back in 2001 when I picked up a cracked copy of version 3. I absolutely loved FL (Fruity Loops). I used to load all of the demo tracks and break them a part to learn the software and how it functioned. In 2004 as a birthday gift, my mom went ahead and purchased Fruity Loops 4.5 (Fruity Edition) for me. Not knowing what the difference was between the Fruity version and the Producer version, I still downloaded those cracked copies from the net (I admit). It wasn’t until about 2006 until I started putting in Kate Lesing vocals into my tracks to make remixes and really taking FL Studio to the next level. I decided to go and purchase FL Studio Producer Edition (and eventually the signature bundle and all of the available plugins to show my appreciation to the FL Studio Team at Image-Line.)
There was a huge learning curve, but after several years I feel that I have come a long way in terms of EDM audio production. Now that I am realizing my love for electronic dance music, it is my hobby and favorite past time.
What the future holds:
I don’t really know what the future holds or where my hobby will take me, but I hope one day I will be noticed (since living in Ontario, Canada isn’t the greatest place to be for the type of music I create) and I will become well known for what I do.
My simple goal:
My goal is to produce an original single and have it play on Z103.5 FM in Toronto, Ontario.
